SUMO GROUP RECEIVES 13 NOMINATIONS AT THE 2021 TIGA AWARDS

Yesterday, Sumo Group received a total of 13 nominations for the 2021 TIGA Awards, including Employer of the Year for Atomhawk and Sumo Digital.

The full list of nominations for the Group is as follows:

• Employer of the Year – Atomhawk 
• Employer of the Year – Sumo Digital 
• Education Initiative and Talent Development – Sumo Digital Academy 
• Services Provider – Red Kite Games 
• Large Studio – Red Kite Games 
• Large Studio – Sumo Sheffield 
• Small Studio – Sumo Warrington 
• Small Studio – PixelAnt Games 
• Outstanding Leadership Award – Leadership Team, Sumo Digital 
• Outstanding Leadership Award – Management Team, Atomhawk 
• Best Art/Animation/Trailer Supplier – Atomhawk 
• Audio Design – Hood: Outlaws & Legends, Sumo Newcastle 
• Heritage in Games Award – Hood: Outlaws & Legends, Sumo Newcastle

Sumo Digital’s BAFTA-winning title, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, also received two nominations at the TIGA Awards. The game is nominated for Social Game and Action and Adventure Game.

The nominations come hot on the heels of Sumo Group’s triple win at the Develop:Star awards which took place last month, which saw them bring home awards for Best Studio for Sumo Digital, Best Creative Provider for Atomhawk and Best Mobile Game for Little Orpheus, by The Chinese Room.

The TIGA Award winners will be revealed at a ceremony taking place on Thursday 25th November 2021.
